Moose Coffee
If you love breakfast anywhere near as much as I do you have to check out Moose Coffee in Liverpool.
They serve up American and Canadian classics such as Eggs Benedict, Waffles, Pancakes, Bagels... need I go on?! To drink they offer their own "moose blend" coffee, fresh fruit juices and mind blowing milkshakes! Daily specials are also on offer and they promise to only use quality and ethically sourced ingredients. What's not to love?
I visited the diner over the weekend with a friend and we were both really impressed. We shared a cookie dough milkshake to start with - sweet, creamy, delicious! I then ordered Eggs Benedict Scramble with ham and a fresh orange juice.
The eggs are scrambled, placed on top of a toasted bagel and served with house made hollandaise sauce and, in my case, warm cured ham. Just to warn you the portions are also "american" and I struggled to get through all of it. However, the eggs were silky soft and creamy and the ham was the perfect salty accompaniment. The hollandaise sauce was a great consistency and tasted wonderfully buttery.
My friend chose one of the specials. Again scrambled eggs and a toasted bagel, but hers came with grilled tomatoes on the base, cheese in the eggs and chives scattered on top. The sweet tomatoes off set the cheesy eggs and the chives provided a fresh, light flavour throughout.

TIP: Be sure to ask for the Louisiana Hot Sauce if you like spicy things - great condiment to go with almost all the items on the menu!
