Dinner Party: After Dinner Mint Truffles

Here we are. The final recipe from my first EVER dinner party... And what a cracker it is! These after dinner mint truffles are the perfect little treat to be served with coffee or a cheeky tipple. Minty fresh and creamy at the same time, these little balls of wonder will delight both you and your guests all year round. And if you're not holding a dinner party any time soon they are great gifts or just snacks for yourself!

As is often the case on this blog there is no real skill involved with this recipe and I honestly believe anyone can make these - children, students, kitchen novices et al! So what on Earth are you waiting for?! Getting rolling!

After Dinner Mint Truffles
Makes approx. 20

100ml double cream

icing sugar, for rolling

Bring the cream just to the boil in a pan before quickly turning off the heat. Add the chocolate and stir until melted. Add the peppermint then leave to chill until the mixture is solid, about 2 hours.

Scoop out teaspoons of the mixture and roll into small walnut-sized balls with your hands. then roll in icing sugar.

TIP: These beauties will keep for three days in the fridge or a month in the freezer!
