The Ultimate Hangover Cure AKA My Mocha Choca Chilli Shake

In case you hadn't guessed already (see Pina Colada Health Smoothie), I'm really into smoothies and juices at the minute. This is mainly because you can get a hell of a lot of goodness into your body with basically no effort and faff. This particular drink is ideal for curing hangovers or for simply perking you up in the morning to kick start your day.

The combination of espresso, raw chocolate and chilli wakes up all your senses and gives you the ultimate boost. What's more, it tastes indulgent with a hint of sweetness from the honey but it's actually incredibly good for you! Everyone could use an extra spring in their step and I can guarantee this will give you one!

Mocha Choca Chilli Shake 
Makes 1

Handful of spinach 
1 banana, peeled and chopped
250ml almond milk 
1 healed tbsp raw cacao 
1 tsp honey 
1 double shot espresso or 50ml strong black coffee, cold 
pinch of cayenne pepper 
1/2 red chilli, chopped 
1 tbsp goji berries, plus a few extra for sprinkling

Place all the ingredients, except the extra goji berries, into a blend and blitz until smooth. Pour into a glass and top with the extra goji berries before serving. Enjoy!
